UNWAVE took part in trials under the Drone Dominance program at Fort Carson, Colorado, demonstrating four EW systems. Following its participation, the company received a request to support future program events. A total of 14 UAV manufacturers and three EW manufacturers participated in the trials.
From August 24 to September 2, UNWAVE’s team of electronic warfare specialists worked at the US military base as part of the Drone Dominance program. The trials included scenarios involving the protection of stationary and moving assets, as well as infrastructure, against drone threats.
“Our mission was to create conditions as close as possible to real battlefield in order to compare the performance of drones from different manufacturers. We operated from three separate positions, at both short and long ranges. For security reasons, we cannot disclose further details about the scenarios we tested at this time. However, we consider the tasks set during the exercise to have been successfully completed. This event also demonstrated the value of continued collaboration among Ukrainian, American, and European specialists in conducting practical trials. Such cooperation can support the integration of Ukrainian technologies into our allies’ security architecture,” UNWAVE said.
During the event, the company demonstrated its VIKHA, BOOMBOX, SHATRO and CHOVEN-2 electronic warfare systems.
UNWAVE’s participation in Drone Dominance was supported by US company Revenant Technologies, which helped organise its involvement. The Revenant team also helped develop testing scenarios, drawing on its close ties to Ukraine and frontline experience to reflect current battlefield conditions as closely as possible. Revenant Technologies specialises in bringing combat-proven defence technologies to the US market, integrating them and establishing local manufacturing.
Participation in Drone Dominance also gave UNWAVE the opportunity to work alongside representatives from the US, Ukraine and other NATO member countries in realistic counter-UAS scenarios.

Systems demonstrated at Drone Dominance:
- VIKHA — Ukraine’s first tactical-operational EW system for directional jamming of drone threats. It supports remote control and integration with other systems.
- BOOMBOX — an EW system designed to protect personnel and positions against FPV drones and drones that drop munitions.
- SHATRO — an EW system designed for installation on vehicles and equipment.
- CHOVEN-2 — a vehicle-mounted, multi-frequency signal amplifier designed to counter various types of UAVs.
Drone Dominance is a Pentagon program aimed at accelerating the selection, procurement and large-scale delivery of strike drones to US forces. The program includes a series of field trials in which military operators assess drones’ ability to complete missions in challenging conditions, with the results informing procurement decisions. The program plans to purchase more than 200,000 drones by 2027. UNWAVE’s participation as an EW supplier brings Ukrainian experience in countering drones to these trials and supports the development of cooperation with US partners.
